A native of Des Moines, Dr. Paul received an undergraduate degree from Drake University, and a medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He then completed an internship, residency, and cardiology and research fellowships at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Paul began practicing with Midwest Cardiology, P.C. in 1999; the practice joined Iowa Heart Center in 2001. He is board certified in cardiology, and currently practices at Iowa Heart Center's West University clinic in West Des Moines and at our office in Ames.
