Congestive Heart Failure

Iowa Heart Center's Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Clinic works with patients to keep them out of the hospital and improve their quality of life. Patients are encouraged to closely monitor their weight and other complications, and visit the clinic whenever necessary.

Iowa Heart outpatient staff also work closely with their colleagues in area hospitals to facilitate the best possible care for CHF patients.

In addition to medical therapy, Iowa Heart electrophysiologists offer cardiac resynchronization theraphy (with or without defibrillation) to eligible patients with low ejection fractions.
