COVID-19 updates - Get the latest information about Coronavirus and Iowa Heart Center

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

The safety of our patients, visitors and staff is our primary concern, and we have implemented the following precautions to reduce exposure of COVID-19:

  • One visitor per patient is allowed. No children under the age of 18 years old.
  • All patients, visitors and staff will be required to wear a mask or face covering at all times when in the facility.

If you do not wish to be seen in-person in our office, we have expanded our telehealth virtual visit capabilities to manage your cardiovascular health during this time. Through your smartphone, tablet or computer you can communicate via audio and video with a provider from your home or office. Telehealth visits are HIPPA compliant and are covered by most insurances. Depending on your symptoms and health condition, your provider may prefer you been seen in person in the office if possible. Our staff will work with you to determine the best option to meet your needs.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 such a fever and/or cough with shortness of breath in the last 7 days, please contact your primary health care provider. Your primary care provider will instruct you on the best next steps for your care based on your symptoms.

Please do not come to MercyOne Iowa Heart Center office if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive in the last 10 days or are waiting on pending COVID-19 test results.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local MercyOne Iowa Heart Center office via phone or patient portal.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to keep our providers, staff and community healthy!
