COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

The safety of our patients, visitors and staff is our primary concern, and we have implemented the following precautions to reduce exposure of COVID-19:

  • Please bring a mask or face covering with you to your appointment. (If supplies are available, a mask will be provided if you don’t have one)
  • No visitors are allowed in our clinics. If needed for physical or cognitive assistance, one visitor will be allowed, but they must wear their own cloth face covering.
  • All patients, visitors and staff will have their temperature and respiratory symptoms checked upon entering the facility
  • All patients, visitors and staff will be required to wear a mask or face covering at all times when in the facility.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local MercyOne Iowa Heart Center office via phone or patient portal.

If you do not wish to be seen in-person in our office, we have expanded our telehealth virtual visit capabilities to manage your cardiovascular health during this time. Through your smartphone, tablet or computer you can communicate via audio and video with a provider from your home or office. Telehealth visits are HIPPA compliant and are covered by most insurances. Depending on your symptoms and health condition, your provider may prefer you been seen in person in the office if possible. Our staff will work with you to determine the best option to meet your needs.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 such a fever and/or cough with shortness of breath in the last 7 days, please contact your primary health care provider. Your provider will instruct you on the best next steps for your care based on your symptoms. Please do not come to MercyOne Iowa Heart Center office if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to keep our providers, staff and community healthy!
