MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – August 18, 2014 – Iowa Heart Center is pleased to announce Grace Ayafor, M.D., has joined its Marshalltown practice as a full-time interventional cardiologist.
Dr. Ayafor joins Dr. Warangkana Choke and is now offering appointments at Iowa Heart Center’s Marshalltown office located at 312 East Main, Suite 2100. She is also performing procedures at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center’s (MMSC) cardiac catheterization laboratory.
“We’re excited to have another physician join us and provide cardiology care, especially full-time, in Marshalltown and the surrounding communities,” says Mark Tannenbaum, Iowa Heart Center Chief Physician Officer. “This helps us fulfill our mission of improving quality of life by enhancing cardiovascular health.”
Dr. Ayafor received her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman, British West Indies. She then completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Dr. Ayafor completed her cardiovascular and interventional cardiology fellowships at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She is board certified in cardiology and internal medicine.
