Mary M. Robinson DNP FNP-BC, grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, but considers Iowa her home state now. She joined Iowa Heart Center in 2016.
Mary earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Indian Hills Community College in 2006. She went on to complete her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing with Excelsior College of Albany, NY in 2013. Mary completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner through Clarke University, Dubuque, IA in 2016.
Prior to joining Iowa Heart Center, Mary started her nursing career at a rural hospital in a variety of settings including: Emergency Department, Ambulance EMS, and Medical Surgical inpatient units. She then served as a circulating nurse for the Vascular/Thoracic surgical specialty at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. This position entailed experience with peripheral vascular, traditional and endovascular repair, as well as, cardiac surgery (CABG, Valve Repair). Further nursing experience included working in a Respiratory Care unit at Mayo Clinic.
Mary is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has started her Nurse Practitioner profession serving patients as a Nocturnist at Mercy Medical Center, Main Campus.
