Dr. Marc Klein, a native of Montreal, Canada, received undergraduate and medical degrees from McGill University, also in Montreal. After an internship in internal medicine and surgery, residencies in internal medicine and diagnostic radiology, and a fellowship in cardiology, all at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, he completed an echocardiography fellowship at Sacre-Coeur (translated as "Sacred Heart") Hospital, also in Montreal.
After a visiting fellowship in cardiac ultrasound at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Dr. Klein returned to Sacre-Coeur Hospital, where he served 10 years, including the last three as chief of cardiology, before moving to Florida.
He joined Iowa Heart Center in 1997, and currently practices at Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines. Board certified in cardiology and echocardiography, his primary interests include congestive heart failure and the application of computers to medicine.
