Computers and their application to medicine and medical practice have long been an interest of Dr. Thomas Brown.
Dr. Brown joined Iowa Heart Center in 1976, following completion of a cardiology fellowship at the Emory University Medical School in Atlanta. Prior to that, he earned undergraduate and medical degrees at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He completed an internship and residency at the Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT, and spent two years at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta before undertaking his cardiology fellowship.
Dr. Brown, a native of West Virginia, is board-certified in cardiology, echocardiography and geriatric medicine. He currently practices at Iowa Heart Center's Laurel office on the Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines campus.
